The Top 3 Reasons 97% of Network Marketers Fail are Lack of Leads, Lack of Money and Lack of Education.
Lack of Leads
When people get started in network marketing they are usually very "Gung Ho" about the new opportunity which is supposedly going to change their life financially. Somewhere along the way, after burning through their warm market, they hit a brick wall. They run out of people to call. Most quit and say it's too hard or no one is interested.
What they fail to realize is there are plenty of people interested, you just have to know where to look and how to attract them to you, rather than you trying to chase them or convince them that your opportunity is the next best thing since sliced bread.
Learning to generate your own leads is crucial to your success in this industry. Positioning yourself is even more crutial as no one is going to partner with a no-body. People want to partner with experts in the field of network marketing.
Lack of Money
This is the biggest mistake I see in this industry. People think that the only investment they will have to make it the initial buy in to their primary opportunity and don't come to the table prepared to open the doors to a real business. Do you think that someone who buys a McDonalds or opens a new restaurant opens it with an empty bank account? Nope. They have to feed the baby until the baby is able to feed them. They have to invest in payroll, lightbills, rent or mortgage, etc.
It's the same thing in network marketing. You need a marketing budget, money for tools, systems, travel, etc. Treat your business like one and it will pay you accordingly.
People don't realize that you have to be able to generate money outside of your primary opportunity through affiliate incomes to fuel your marketing and offset other expenses. Most will run out of money before they ever turn a profit, quit and spread bad media that it didn't work for them. The truth is, they didn't work it. You have to have a sales funnel system to make this all happen.
Lack of Education
What ever business your involved in, your going to need to educate yourself on your business and your daily method of operation. If you fail to plan, your plan will fail. You have to change your mindset and the only way to do that is through education. If you want to make more money, you have to do things differently than you have done them up until this point.
This goes back to the saying, that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
I dont care how good of a product you have, how great your compensation plan is or any of that stuff. If you dont educate yourself on how to market yourself as well as your product or service, you mine as well throw in the towel. Education is what seperates the 3% who make it from the 97% who spend more than they make in the network marketing industry.
